Terms of Use
Last updated: February 2025
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Receiptly (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. The App allows you to track expenses by scanning and managing receipts, viewing analytics, and subscribing to paid plans. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
Receiptly provides receipt and expense tracking: you can add receipts (including photos and scans), organize them by shop and category, view spending analytics and trends, and export data subject to your subscription plan. Subscription plans (Free, Standard, Premium) may have different limits on features such as receipt recognition, categorization, and analytics export.
3. Account and Registration
You must create an account (via email and password or Google Sign-In) to use the App. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and keep your profile (e.g. name, currency, language) up to date.
4. Subscriptions and Payments
Paid subscriptions are offered through in-app purchase (App Store / Google Play) and are processed by our billing provider (RevenueCat) and the respective store. Subscription terms, pricing, renewal, cancellation, and refunds are governed by the store’s policies. We receive subscription and renewal events to manage your plan and limits in the App.
5. Acceptable Use
You may not use the App for any illegal purpose, to infringe others’ rights, or to transmit harmful or offensive content. You may not attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App, other users’ accounts, or our systems. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms.
6. Your Data and Content
You retain ownership of the data you upload (e.g. receipts and images). By using the App, you grant us the rights necessary to operate the service (e.g. storing and processing your data, including in cloud storage). Our use of your data is described in our Privacy Policy.
7. Intellectual Property
The App, its design, and our trademarks and branding are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our software or branding without permission.
8. Disclaimers
The App is provided “as is.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Receipt recognition and analytics are for assistance only and do not constitute legal, tax, or financial advice.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App or inability to use it. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
10. Changes and Termination
We may update these Terms from time to time; we will notify you of material changes (e.g. in the App or by email). Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. We may discontinue the App or your access in accordance with applicable law.
11. Contact
For questions about these Terms, please contact us through the contact details provided in the App or on our website.
