Account deletion

1. How to delete your account
You can delete your Receiptly account only from within the app, after you sign in:
Open Account (from the home screen or profile area) → in the side menu, use Delete account. You will see a screen explaining what deletion means. Tap Delete my account to confirm.
We do not provide account deletion by email as the default method; using the in-app flow ensures the request comes from an authenticated user and can be applied immediately.
2. What is deleted
When your account is deleted, we permanently remove data associated with your user, including:
Your account profile (email/username, name, preferences, language, currency settings); your receipts and related expense data (amounts, dates, shops, categories, line items); receipt images stored for your account; and analytics tied to your account. Access to subscription-based features in the app ends when the account is removed.
Deletion is irreversible. You will not be able to recover this information afterward.
3. Subscriptions (Google Play & App Store)
If you have an active paid subscription, you should cancel it in Google Play (Android) or the App Store (iOS) before or separately from deleting your Receiptly account.
Deleting your Receiptly account does not automatically cancel or refund a store-managed subscription. Billing is controlled by Google or Apple according to their policies. Please manage cancellation in your Play Store or App Store subscription settings.
4. Timing
Account deletion is processed when you complete the in-app deletion flow. Your session is ended and associated personal data is removed from our active systems in line with our data retention practices described in our Privacy Policy.
